A presentation took place in the Drumshanbo Mayflower last Thursday, to acknowledge the efforts of different groups of students in our school. 

First on stage were the Cadette basketball girls who won the.  Caption Siobhán Kelly spoke on behalf of the team, thanking their coach Ms. Kearns and assistant coach Lucy Kelly.  Up next on stage was the senior girls team which won the.  Former Eurovision winner Charlie McGettigan presented the teams with their well deserved medals.

Second to the stage was the Senior A boys volleyball team.  This team played in their third consecutive all Ireland final in UCD, but after an epic battle were piped by first time winners Kiltimagh.  A presentation for Most Valuable Player was given to Michael King.  Assistant coach Mr. McKeon spoke briefly thanking the teams for their efforts, and regular coach Mr. King for all his work in preparing the team. 

Finally class 2B and their mentor Ms. Rutter were thanked for their efforts in raising money for the Pakistan Earthquake appeal.  One thousand euro was raised by way of a non-uniform day which was a great success.  An extra twist involved teachers wearing black for the day.
