Friday, February 24th was a big day in the history of DVS.  The Minister for Education & Skills, Ruairi Quinn TD, visited our school to officially open our three new classrooms.  Mr Quinn was given a tour of the school, seeing the Science Lab, Engineering Room, Art Room, Computer Room 1 as well as the three new classrooms.  He also unveiled a bust of Joe Mooney who played a large part in setting up the school all those years ago.  Next, he officially opened the new classrooms, before proceeding to the Mayflower where various people spoke to a large group of invited guests and students.
