On Thursday, 17th May, two students from the Green School's Committee, Claire Glynn and Andrew Mooney, along with their teacher Ms. Coen attended the award ceremony in the Galway Bay Hotel, Salthill, Galway.  This was in recognition for a lot of hard work carried out at the school for the previous two years.

The theme for this flag was water and the committee put a lot of hard work into highlighting water wastage and surveying all the students in the school.  this is the schools third Green Flag since they decided to become more environmentally friendly in 2003.  The flag can be renewed every two years.  Previous to this, the school achieved flags for recycling and energy conservation.  The committee are already making plans for their fourth flag.
